Athletic Director
Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve in a ministry that has reached over 4000 people with the Gospel of Christ through youth sports. Columbus Crusaders Youth Sports offer various sports leagues year round for both young men and women. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Athletic Director will provide leadership to ensure all sports leagues are planned and conducted appropriately.
Responsibilities:
The Athletic Director’s duties shall consist of the following:
Scheduling of games, referees, transportation, and team pictures
In collaboration with the Treasurer, establish budgets for each sports league, including:
Ensure payment to referees, trainers, stadium rentals, etc
Set registration fees, with input from the Treasurer, Vice President, and head coach
Ensure each league operates within its set budget.
Responsible for coordinating the completion of the Media Guide(s)
Serve as a representative to the Leagues and Conferences in which our sports teams compete
Coordinate and oversee any assistants and volunteers, including
The execution of Statement of Faith, Code of Conduct, and Coaches Contracts.
Coordinate and recruit volunteers for each league
Distribute equipment and uniforms
Responsible for the oversight of the collection of eligibility paperwork from players.
Coordinate with the Vice President to ensure Crusader leadership is represented at each event.
Responsible for the coordination of team chapels.
Maintain a weekly timesheet.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have a passion to serve and be an example of Jesus to others. He/she must display the ability to communicate effectively. He/she must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and to work with minimal supervision.
